Post 5- Summary

Making this blog was actually pretty fun. I got to look at awesome pictures, and my research answered a lot of questions that I had never even thought of! I got a lot of really nice comments that made my day, especially when I was sick and was feeling really bad. It was never hanging over my head and making me afraid that I wouldn't finish in time or something like that. I feel like I spaced it out into little chunks so I wouldn't have to do a post quickly and sloppily. Ms. Dunn and Mr. Marsh made the blogs really fun, and made due dates that you should have a first draft, and that helped me space the posts out more efficiently. In the state of California, all 5th graders are required to do an essay, and instead of doing an actual essay, Ms. Dunn and Mr. Marsh let us do blogs instead.

At first when I heard we were doing blogs, I was thinking,"This is going to be horrible! I already have enough homework! Can't teachers give kids a break????" And the first week or so, my prediction was kind of right, but that was only because I was worrying WAY too much. The designing was probably the most fun part. You get to customize your blog and that was super fun.

It was really fun to get to look at other people's  blogs, too. I got a lot of my ideas for different gadgets and how I organized paragraphs from other blogs. Reading about the different topics was fun, too. Some of the topics I would have never thought of. For example, Sam did his blog on counterfeiting. I would have never even considered that!

Researching was kind of hard because there was not a lot of info on my topic. Because of that, writing the posts was pretty hard. But, I found a considerable amount of information in books.
